      锰砂滤料外观呈黑褐色，近圆形，采用优质天然锰矿石加工而成，经水洗打磨除杂、破碎、干燥、磁选、筛分、除尘等工艺加工成砂，再把加工好的锰砂按一定的级配调合而成。锰砂滤料主要成份是二氧化锰，含量在30%-45%之间，是晶粒致密、机械强度大、化学活性强、不易破碎、不溶于水的天然锰矿砂，对于地下水除铁、除锰过滤有独特的效果。

      锰砂里面含的天然二氧化锰能氧化水中二阶铁并沉淀除掉，使水清净。既可用于地下水除铁，又可用于地下水除锰；我厂生产的锰砂滤料是采用优质天然锰矿石为原料，经机械破碎多次筛选而成，外观粗糙多棱角，呈褐色，晶粒致密、硬度高、耐腐蚀、损失少、使用寿命长，在水中浸泡不溶解、过滤水中含锰量不增加，天然锰砂可说是Zui难溶于水的净化剂。具有良好的除铁、除锰性能，是地下水和工业用水含铁离子和锰离子进行除铁、除锰处理的必备产品。 

      当前使用天然锰砂除铁原理有二种：一种是锰砂表面有一层活性滤膜，可起到很强的氧化作用；另一种是锰砂本身对铁质起催化作用，将水中的二价铁催化成三价铁，并使三阶铁质附着于锰砂颗粒表面，起到除铁的目的。含量30%的天然锰砂滤料，只宜用于地下水除铁。

      天然锰砂是一种很强的氧化剂，能对水中二价铁起氧化作用，锰砂用于饮用水除铁、除锰过滤装置，地下水除铁除锰净化水质使用。采用锰砂滤料处理地下水，工艺简单，操作方便，工程造价低，长效稳定，服务周期在5年以上，易于管理，不添加任何化学药剂即可达到去除水中铁、锰、砷等有害物质的目的，水质完全达到国家饮用水标准，是非常好的地下水处理滤料。

      锰砂的使用的年限，对含铁浓度高的地下水一般为3~5年，对含铁浓度低的地下水，使用年限更长，有的已逾十年。在有的天然锰砂滤池中，滤层上部的锰砂会逐渐形成球状的“锈砂”，“锈砂”表面有一层“活性滤膜”，仍具有接触催化除铁能力，所以形成“铁砂”，不是天然锰砂失效的标志。当”锈砂“长大致使滤料粒径过粗而影响除铁效果时，才有必要更换部分滤料。所以，在我们的施工过程中要注意是否有“锈砂”的存在，如果有的话一定要辨别清楚“锈砂”的大小，如果是小的规格，可以继续使用，可以减少工业成本，如果是大的规格，就要换掉，以免影响过滤水质。
